QES Academic Press supports a fair route for raising complaints about editorial processes or publisher conduct and for appealing editorial decisions when there is a substantive basis for review.
Editorial appeals
An appeal should identify the manuscript, the decision being challenged and the specific scientific, procedural or policy grounds for reconsideration. Disagreement with reviewer opinion alone does not necessarily justify an appeal.
Complaints
Complaints may concern editorial process, reviewer conduct, conflicts of interest, accessibility, publication ethics or publisher operations. Provide factual information and relevant correspondence where available.
Conflict-aware handling
A person directly involved in the matter should not be the sole decision-maker on the complaint or appeal. Where appropriate, the issue should be reassigned to an independent editor or publisher representative.
How to submit
Use the QES Academic Press contact page and select “Ethics concern / complaint / appeal,” or use the journal-specific route when the matter concerns an active manuscript.
