Digital Preservation & Archiving

How digital preservation information should be communicated and verified.

Long-term preservation is an important part of scholarly publishing. QES Academic Press will describe preservation and archiving arrangements only after the relevant service or workflow has been formally implemented and verified.

Current transparency approach

The publisher should maintain reliable website and publication backups appropriate to its infrastructure and should document article-level preservation arrangements as they become operational.

Third-party preservation services

QES Academic Press should not claim participation in CLOCKSS, LOCKSS, Portico or another preservation network unless an active arrangement has been confirmed and the journal content is covered by that service.

Journal-level information

Once a formal preservation arrangement exists, each journal should state the service, coverage and relevant links on its website, and this page should be updated accordingly.
